Pew Center on Global Climate Change

The Pew Center on Global Climate Change brings together business leaders, policy makers, scientists and other experts to find solutions to climate change that are based on sound science and that sustain economic growth. In 2006, Bank of America joined the Pew Center's Business Environmental Leadership Council (BELC).

The bank and PEW Center have collaborated on outreach to policy leaders, the environmental community and the general public. Our collaborative work has ranged from supporting elements of state policy, including the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) in the northeast U.S. and California's Global Warming Solutions Act, to federal policy proposals. In 2007, Bank of America initiated targeted public outreach to advocate for strong policy solutions to address climate change. This effort involved our close coordination with the PEW Center to help develop and shape the delivery of these messages that reached local, national and international audiences.
